The question about the relationship between art and science, especially in the field of topology, led me to get interested in spatial deformations and knots. By mechanical means, I build machines capable of drawing topological spaces. While remaining operator I keep control and use my machines as artistic tools. The Creator-Creation relationship thus remains intact.
The use and handling of paper plays an important role in my approach. The depth of the subjectile not only passes through bending and twisting in volume, but is also found in the interplay between the paper (support) and the medium. My work emerges from a playful approach in relationship to the question of representation and space of the drawing. Optical games and light-play are frequently observable.
